The New England Marine Trade Association (NEMTA) was founded in 1956 to promote collaboration between, and the advancement of the marine industry in the 6 New England states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. NEMTA provides a platform for the regional state associations to discuss and monitor legislation and regulatory issues which influence recreational boating and have an economic impact throughout New England.
